good times/songwriting
The good thing about this band is the way things work, we all have a great friendship, its a great 3 piece band who all look out for one another, when it comes to songwriing what used to be a one man slog is now a 3 way effort the cool thing about craig is that he has a great knack of giving the songs a solid structure, he listens for the hooks works us, laura has a great knack at writing key riffs usually these are the hooks that craig listens for, then il supply some guitar n lyrics etc, we come up with tunes all the time its a fun band to be in and a great buzz when we create a new tune i think we all would love to record every song we have written and hopefully we can.

rock n roll is dirty but it keeps me clean
So we rocked out at Base Stuidios in Feb, and then whammy gig after gig after gig just came in so far we are booked till October bar a few gaps, funnily enough we played Crewe on March 8th 2013 at the Sydney arms a strange place that i dont think have ever had a real band on ever :) we did 2 hours of sweaty exuberant rock n roll, solos behind the head punk rock bass and stadium drums with some smooth vocals, could they get it ? who knows a few did but a great learning curve was choose venues wiseley and know where your sound works, still there were a few who clapped, sung or just eyed up our bass player and enough totty for us as they had booked an 18th birthday party at the same time, its back to our home town of stafford next where we play a charity gig for some bikers i somehow think these guys will rock, also we had a band photo shoot on 2nd March some pics will come soon it was a great day for all you will see our naked sunday catalogue ..... tbc
Monday, 18 February 2013
Well its been a hard years gigging, and a triumphant year for us in more ways than one, first and foremost our drummer Craig joined the band on Januray the 6th 2012, this was the highlight in making Naked Sunday a great 3 piece who managed to create a sound as a band. Secondly came our Kerrang magazine appearance, a major major highlight and something I do belive all 3 of us are proud of, the theres been the gigs,we have been to Leek, Stafford,Stoke on trent, Sutton Colfield, Bilston,Cannock,Hednesford and Nottingham as well as Eccleshall,Worcester,Stourbridge and Rugeley, making a name for ourselves around the Midlands, Its seen radio sessions, outdoor gigs , mini festivals and an all around exhilirating experience of getting around the midlands rocking out, we have booking afetr booking some cancellations along the way, piss ups fun, dancing ladies and all in all general rock n roll.
Then we have had the involvement with the MAS records eductaion programme which has really helped us to shape as a band, developing our sound, image etc working us hard and recording at the beautiful Old Smith in Worcester where we have just recorded our single Sunflowers in the rain, which has gained a nice review on http://www.bluesbunny.com/tabid/325/xmmid/1030/xmid/4129/xmview/2/default.aspx so all in all that brings a nice end to the year. As a band we have really gelled together forming a brilliant friendship and generally just rocking out, we have written together ,drank together watched films rocked out and helped each other through good and bad Stafford Castle and the Pit n Pendulum being highlights of the year to me, I can honestly say we have had an awesome year gaining fans and friends, thank you to everyone who has shaped 2012 for Naked Sunday both as fans friends and those helping us develope this monster into the best it can be keep rocking and listen to music of all kinds and we will see you in 2013 starting at The Robin 2.
As of 2013 We rocked the Robin 2 with John Campbell, played Stone to a strange crowd, appeared in Bizarre magazine and have played at Base Studios in Stourbridge meeting the ace Nick J Townsend and recieving BBC airplay on BBC WM radio on February 16th 2013.
